“Do you see the shades of green?”
I still hear her say,
To unlock the scene,
The earth on display.
.
Do you see the shades of green?
Each clover and flower,
The pine made for Jean,
The jewel of sky-showers.
.
Do you see the shades of green?
The color of breath—
—its wonders between,
We wait for no death.
.
I’ll see her one day.
A world—perfected serene.
I wait to hear her say,
“Do you see the shades of green?”
